Planning for Provider Scorecards
Client: The Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing
To improve the efficiency and value of the licensing and certification of home and community-based services (HCBS) providers, Mission Analytics Group previously recommended the Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing (HCPF) create provider scorecards. These scorecards can give a comprehensive view of providers’ quality of care across multiple metrics—helping HCPF identify underperforming providers that could benefit from follow-up and remediation by HCPF, as well as motivating providers, guiding consumers to better services, and encourage higher quality of care.
The current project is the first phase of implementation, with a goal of defining requirements for the implementation of scorecards for an initial set of services. This project will also act as a roadmap for extending the approach to future services.
